Hey! I'm so glad you're here.

I'm a writer and licensed psychologist based in California, working at the intersection of identity, embodiment, and culture.

In my writing, I explore how we learn who we're allowed to be, what it costs to live inside inherited experiences, and what becomes possible when we stop disappearing from our own lives. My essays live in the space between personal narrative and cultural observation, often tracing the relationship between individual experience and the social stories that shape it.

I am the author of Coming Out, Coming Home, a memoir-driven exploration of late-in-life queer becoming (book in progress). I also write the Substack Speaking of Corsets, a space for exploring embodiment, identity, and other things we were taught to keep hidden or tightly laced.

In my clinical work, I support clients navigating queerness, neurodivergence, trauma, and the quiet pressures of existing inside systems that were never built with them in mind. My work centers on authenticity, challenging outdated norms, and helping people come back into relationship with their bodies.

My writing has appeared in outlets including The Advocate, Pride.com, and Scary Mommy.

In addition to my writing and clinical work, I teach Psychology and Human Sexuality at the college level.

When I'm not writing or working with clients, I'm usually with my family and our ever-growing menagerie of pets, picking out new songs on my guitar, or mapping out the next place we hope to travel.
